This is a great Buck form Ohio. I don't know how I feel about the shot but obviously you got a kill and recovery. I've never taken a shot like that and don't know that my set up would accomplish this. Regardless I'm glad you was able to get that opportunity and it keeps me motivated about my public land adventures. I was able to take a 10 point this year 1st time on public land here in Ohio and it has boosted my confidence to be able to do it again. These videos help!

Congratulations! That is outstanding Buck on public ground! Yes, packing the deer out is way more effective than dragging! My dad and I travel out of state and hunt public ground and we pack most of our deer out. With the meat frame backpack, Klein slack blocks, and a handful of other items, it makes life so much easier taking the deer out of the woods. You probably already have an idea of a meat frame setup, if you're interested I can send you some photos of our setup if you want. If not, that's cool too. Congrats again! That's an awesome accomplishment!

Im as far east in ky as you can go!! Ohio is about 25 miles from my house, west virginia is about 1/2 mile away lol. Us hill country hunters learn new stuff everyday. Ive missed multiple bucks in my life due to trees. Last year i missed a shioter 3 times with my bow in abiut 5 minutes. Hit a tree twice then missed on the last shit. He was only 23 yards. But the thicket i was in said otherwise!!
