I would love more "Off the clock" stuff
I think the fandom would love it too

I really needed this. I'm a 17-year-old Christian girl, and it is so easy for me to spiral and just think about the terrible things in this world, and it's been a lot worse lately. This video is great because it came at the most amazing time to remind me of how good it is to be where I am, and I learned some tips to stay gratuitous.

Literally, just today, my son came home in tears because some upperclassmen came to interview a few kids from his class, and they were asked about who they "like-liked." He didn't want to answer, but he was told he had to participate (even the teacher said it was necessary). He's 11. Seriously?! Why is it important to have a crush or a girlfriend/boyfriend at that age??? Everyone needs to chill about the relationships thing. That's nobody's business anyway. My son hasn't even gone through puberty yet, how on earth is he supposed to know who he likes?

I was required to take a women's study class in college. This was the easiest class to pass because all of the correct answers were whatever made women look the best and bonus points for making men look bad. The class might as well have been titled "Pedestalizing Women 101".

This was perfect timing and a reminder. I’m 25, a conservative, Christian, Mexican-American woman… I have never felt so outcasted in a class. There was so much hatred towards Christians being expressed, hate towards Israel and also to top it all off a trans woman (a man) had the nerve to say how harmful religious women are when protesting at planned parenthood.

His argument was that it’s not just a place for abortions but also gynecologists, birth tests, and other things…like sit down. You’re not even a woman, you don’t have a right to say what women should or shouldn’t protest about when regarding real biological women 😭

As far as Brett's info about architects, she is spot on. I became a registered professional architect in 1990. It wasn't until I achieved that goal (which I had had since 4th grade) that I discovered you could become an architect without a college degree. You only needed to demonstrate (in my case) 8 years of working for an architect and then passing the exams for licensure. Truth be told, though, passing all those exams would have been incredibly difficult without the college education. The exams were given over a 4 day period, 6 four hour exams on structure, HVAC, site design, etc and a 12 hour long exam during which you designed a complete building from scratch with a full set of contract document drawings.

I graduated high school 2 years ago, the amount of times I had to write a essay in favour of a topic I completely disagreed on was insane. Anything for the grade ig 😵‍💫

As someone who is in her 50's, some other pieces of advice I have: 1- Life happens while we are busy making plans. 2- Don't worry about what others think about/of you. It is none of your business of what they think of you and its none of their business what you think of them. 3- Never stop looking up at the sky to wish upon the stars and talk to the man in the moon.

Well aren’t you a refreshing ball of positive, encouraging energy that I, as a 55 year old married mother of seven, appreciate listening to as opposed to others your age. Kudos to you, and your parents. Proud of you, and them.

Too bad that I didn't have a Brett Cooper in my early 20s. I could have used a lot of this advice back then. But I'm glad, that the younger ones have you <3

Thank you for reminding me of a "Gratitude" Journal. I am 75 years old and was totally uplifted by this notion. I will start tomorrow.

Our middle son just graduated HS and he absolutely HATED high school, it was a fight to go everyday, so him graduating was HUGE!! He doesn’t want anything to do with college(about 1/2 of his class feels the same), he wants to work, while getting a certificate for a craft. Right now he works full time and this winter his job is paying for him to get his CDL while he still works!!😊

I went to work for a radio station before going to college for communications to see if I would like it. I did not. So I didn’t waste $80k to get a degree I wouldn’t be happy with. I highly recommend shadowing the job before going to school for it. Saves so much time and money.

Going to community college as opposed to a big university was probably one of the best decisions of my life. It has saved me so much money and stress. I changed my major after a year and it wasn't a huge deal because a year of college is only ~4, 000 bucks without scholarships. I'm still going, but as of now, I have zero regrets
