A warm ‘hello’ to all of you, my beautiful souls!

Today’s song is called ‘Dark Skies’.

The day when Industrial Revolution turned its first wheel marked the new era both in the world of nature, and men. I wrote a little poem dedicated to those dark times, to all the suffering that people had to undergo as the world started rapidly changing, and the rug was pulled from under people’s feet.

When the machines cogs started spinning,
And the beauty began thinning,
Then the clouds all black with soot
Opened the way to treasured loot.
Everyone who longed for glory,
Wouldn’t fret, nor would they worry -
The gears would turn,
The souls would burn,
No place would be there left for ‘sorry’.
Break their backs,
Lay them on tracks,
All the crime would slip through cracks.
Fuel oil would be butter,
Silenced would be every nutter,
When the tools are running smoothly,
Wickedness would dress up sprucely.
Free would evil walk the earth,
Driving long and shiny hearse.

Sí, yo creo que la revolucion industrial trajo mucho sufrimiento a la par de los adelantos de esa época. Tal vez si se pensara mas en el ser humano y su alma, esta carrera por el " Progreso" no seria tan despiadada y deshumanizante. Ahora, estamos transitando otra Revolucion Industrial pero mas Tecnológica.... en todo caso, siguen la codicia, el poder, el dinero, la fama gobernando este mundo. Los corazones de los hombres estan endurecidos y sus almas no encuentran la Luz.
