I’m currently making a deck like this! I’m probably going to add Winding Constrictor (BG, whenever you put a counter on a perm you control put 1 additional on it too). That way my Scavenge becomes even better

God, I love golgari. It feels like every single golgari related keyword has been interesting & cool in some way. maybe scavenge wasn’t as oppressive as that other one, but *god* the concept is so flavourful. love golgari so much

a friend of mine used to run a ramp deck with the korozda guildmage, overgrown battlements, shield spheres (post errata) etc and mycolith- quite a spicy little pile back in the day!

Not much to add here: as I said on the first vid these are all good. I tend to pick up this one more than some of the others, though, which I guess is the ultimate verdict.

Deadbridge Goliath should definitely have been in the deck! A 4 mana 5/5 with upside was Amazing in this era! Even if they stop it. You just make the next biggest thing you have that much bigger!

I think you are too harsh on Golgari Longlegs - it is Hybrid Fire Elemental after all. Not too much in green, where Spined Wurm was reprinted for ages, but in black, where Zombie Goliath is a vanilla test standard for P/T, it's not bad beater. And since intro packs are for starting players, I think vanilla creatures are acceptable till you replace them with something else.

its not a bad deck, the creatures make it so you for the most part will win trades and a battle of attrition. you have a ton of graveyard interaction and a fair chunk of synergies. soild 8/10

Yeah, flavorwise Huntmaster feels like Gruul, but it plays well with the Korozda Guildmage and Corpsejack with the bonus +1/+1 counters.

I'm always bothered by how Golgari looks so sludgey, but I guess they are the guild of decay.

This deck seems fine some of the scavenge costs seem almost prohibitively expensive. Corpsejack Menace is a pretty fun rare. Not sold on Wild Beastmaster there are a few better rares that could have been used. I think Huntsmaster would have been better if it gave trample.

Rites of reaping let's make Consume strength from Apocalypse but increase the power by 1 to combat the better card let's make it a sorcery. Also we doubled the mana cost. Should have just reprinted Consume Strength.
