My friend had this deck, and he was absolutely wrecking anything I could put together. I had B/R Akuma precon from Saviors and Boros precon from Ravnica, and they didn't stand a chance. The uncommon legendaries are bombs, and then there's the rares on top. It's like the deck has 5 or 6 rares, when other precons only have 2. I believe he did upgrade it with 1 Seshiro, as I also upgraded my deck with whatever I could find in the few booster packs I opened, but his Seshiro got the deck on another level. Resolving him was basically a guaranteed win. IMO this snake deck is one of the best precons from the early modern period. It even came with a Top!

A lot of mono colour decks in this set, huh. It made sense with all the artifacts in Mirrodin, but it’s interesting they continued through Kamigawa too. Maybe it was a conscious choice with Ravnica in the pipeline?

So… Snake and Shaman tribal support? I thought one of the lessons of Odyssey/Onslaught is that tribal themes should be seeded before and after so they’re not so insular to one set. (Odyssey’s Dwarves should have been Goblins, Insects Elves etc) With the Spirits in the last deck, and other fairly unique creature types to come…

Yeah: Snake deck needed one of those Snake Legends in there. This just doesn’t seem very interesting at all to me. It’s probably not bad, low power level of the set aside, but there’s no excitement either. Also Snakes shouldn’t have feet: it’s hard to get past that simple fact.

After my huge getting into Kamigawa phase, I basically made an updated version of this deck for my pal.
I absolutely regret making it for him.
Edit: Orochi Leafcaller is pretty good because of it's Shaman creature type gives it that "(Tap):Add (G)(G)" effect later in the game.

I love this deck but I may be biased as I'm a sucker for Mono Green in my older days.

I really like the design of these flip cards although i get why they switched it to literally flipping the card over it makes it easier to have the text boxes bigger.

The biggest dissapointment in this deck is the rares I think I get the idea for the Hatchery but the Junkyo Bell is such a let down. It's like they tried to fix Coat of Arms and way over corrected.

PS: Steeeeve!

Come on....4 Arm snakes. Orochi, I think alot of Kamiga was an Ormage to LEGEND OF THE 5 RINGS TCG... Ratpeople, 4 Armed Snakepeople...
Good old Flip Cards. This was the beginning. Then in Innistrad they went with fully flipping the Card.
