Great advice. Considering a vulnerable narcissist's public image is extremely important to them, approaching them in front of people does indeed work well, paying them occasional, subtle compliments weeks in advance to your request could help... however, their distrustful/suspicious nature gives them the ability to pick up on manipulation, seeing as they partake in it themselves, so I'd be careful with that one unless you're skilled and experienced in dealing with them. My ex wife turned me into a narcissist manipulating ninja👤... *an exhausted, stressed out ninja.

Very good topic. To get something from a narcissistic male, I stroke their ego and ask nicely. To get something from me, all you have to do is show me the purpose and ask me when I am not busy.

Say you want the opposite or that you don’t really want it (act like it’s not at all a big deal to you). Make sure something is in it for them (that they’d want). Use leverage. Make them think it’s their idea. For communal Narcs, make sure they’d look generous in front of others.

I do enjoy Dr. Grande's channel, but for me, trying to determine what kind of narcissist a person actually is, I find exhausting. As I get older, I find myself spending more time with Hugo, my beloved standard poodle, who is not a narcissist. He is a gifted cuddler.

Dr Elinor Greenberg (PDs expert) has a different classification of narcs, and I think is far better:
-Exhibitionist: needs to be praised to keep a good self esteem.

-Malignant: needs to make others feel bad, it's like they were "stealing" other's self esteem.

-Closet narcisis: needs to be close to high status people to feel important.

Vulnerable narcissist doesn't make much sense, since all narcs are extremely vulnerable by nature, and their confidence is only a very weak mask.

Having a narc parent, I learned to manipulate them by listening to their endlessly repetitive victimization rants enthusiastically while subtly hinting at needing something that inly they can provide. Then just ask after they run out of steam while really laying on how awful so and so is and how great the narc is.

Easy peasy. It just took my day's joy but I need to pay my bills.

But how to get something from a malignant narcissist? In my experience, it is really hard. They’re not willing to give you any respect, love, or any kind words. Just hatred. They are incapable of feeling empathy and might help you only if it benefits them. Even in these cases, the pleasure they get from watching you drown might surpass it😔

Yep! Unfortunately, quite a few are politicians. And in the highest levels of our government. On both sides of the aisle.
