Do you track your language learning by hours studied? I found this method useful for me when I prepared for exams. Do you think tracking language learning is a good way to stay motivated in your learning?

I love tracking hours for language learning! Not only is it good to have those stats, when I want to look back on how I did that week/month, but I also think it's a more accurate represantation of progress. Let's say 2 people have been learning Spanish for a year, but their progress can be completely different - one person may have studied an hour a day, while the other did 15 minutes/day. Without a doubt, their levels will be completelly different.

Yeah tracking hours looks more better than tracking days or months cause its just exhausting counting long term numbers.

I have what I call a "practice log" - a cheap exercise book in which I note the date of practice and givie myhelf a sticker for each 15 minutes of work I put in. Keeps me motivated bc putting a sticker in a book is childish fun

I think hours tracking for language learning can be used as a useful tool to keep track of which activities I'm doing. As my language ability grows I'll change my priories to more immersion or more vocab study depending on what I need.

hey lindie! i’ve been watching your channel for a while now and you’ve inspired me to learn korean. I need a little advice, I’d say my speaking and writing are ok, but i have a lot of difficulty understanding what people are saying. (no matter how hard i try, it always takes me a few seconds to analyse the words, but by then they’re already talking about something else)

How did you overcome this? Do i just need more practice? With love❤
