We Bought a New Airplane...Again...DECATHLON!

Airplane number 9 is a Decathlon. Looking forward to getting some more tailwheel experience and doing some sporty flying.

Oh my, I'm jealous 😁 Had a 1974 Citabria for about 12 year's. I've always wanted a Super D after a demo in one. Guessing your's still has the original 150 hp which is fine. Always figured the symmetrical wing was only better for inverted flight. I was wrong.... the roll rate is also WAY faster 😅 Been flying a 421 but but really want to get back in a Fun airplane !! 62 year old from Iowa.... thanks for the video 👍

When the previous owner did all of the interior upgrades, did he keep the original wood-spar wings or did he also swap them out for the American Champion aluminum-spar wings?

I'm the same way with rifles. I can't keep 'em. I'm always buying and selling 'em. Beautiful little bird. Didn't catch it if you mentioned it, but did the Cardinal get sold? I'm guessing it did. We just got internet service back a couple hours ago. The eye of Hurricane Beryl passed 30 miles west of us today. Fortunately, no damage. Lots of folks without power in this part of the state. Hope this is the last one this year.
