Set a Custom Fan Curve on your GPU to Reduce Temperature and Noise - Tutorial

There are many ways to set a good fan curve, but the objective thing is that having a good fan curve dramatically reduces the noise of your PC and the temperature of your poor GPU. If set properly, it will also help reduce throttling and sustain higher clocks for longer, resulting in an increased performance!

Thank you for the guide. I used this video and your undervolting videos on my zotac 3060 ti and my gpu rarely hits 70 degrees Celsius now and it doesn't sound like a jet engine anymore.

Great video man. Was playing Silent Hill 2 remake and I was getting 87 degrees in the apartments area but with this video I'm now getting around 70 on medium/high settings! Thank you!

This is insane. I've followed your undervolting guide and this guide and I'm getting 80-100 fps on RE4 Remake with 77C whereas before following your guides I was getting 60-80 fps with 83C. I wish I discovered your guides sooner when I was playing RDR2 lol. Thanks a lot!

My coller in a brand new rtx 3060 asus dual is making rattle noise at 78 to 81% so i undervolt in with your previous guide and make flat curve to 64-80C to 76% and it works flawless, thank god that earth got ppl like you🙏

I went from 84 to under 60 on highest setting and 1440p on bodycam. I really appreciate the settings and tips bro!

It's fantastic; I can run any game smoothly with this setup, plus your undervolt configuration for the 4060. If there are any enhancements to the boost setup that you've made, it would be great to see a video tutorial, particularly for the 4060 FPS boost undervolt setup. Excellent work!

just followed your tutorial of undervolting 4070 super and it is truly amazing! but now I'm not quite sure whether I should adjust my 3-fan gigabyte windforce 4070 super, for it works around 50-60 degrees, and it seems strange to get one of those fans to span at 60% and the other two will be doing nothing. do I have to adjust my gpu fan at this point?

Hey! I followed this guide and your undervolting guide and I am impressed. My 3090 Ti FE runs so cool now with no performance loss at all. My GPU is yet to go over 55c and I have been running games like Cyberpunk and Baldurs gate 3 all on ultra settings. I do have a question though, so when my GPU is a temp between 30c and 55c the fans operate at 800 RPM, but when the GPU is 55c it doubles to 1600 RPM. I am curious if this could possibly have an effect on the life of my GPU or the fans. I will also mention that sometimes it bounces between 800 RPM and 1600 RPM because the card will go from 54c to 55c back to 54c and so on. But overall I am satisfied and yet to see 60c on any game just worried a bit about the fans.

Nice vid ! So afterburner needs to be on everytime inorder for the fan settings to work ? Or can you save and close it and it will still be activated ?

So checking the box that says “firmware control mode” will basically save your profile so you don’t constantly have to run msi afterburner at startup or while playing games? Does this also work for the undervolting settings as well?

when i try to use "use firmware control mode" it puts my gpu at max fan speed, sometimes even going over 100, so i guess it doesnt work for my gpu, ill just have to be starting the app with windows n minimized right?, i got a Gigabyte Rx 6600 Eagle n i want my gpu to always be at 55 fan speed but go all the way up to 80 is there a way i could have it start with windows but for it to not start the on screen display

When you test your settings with furmark, it also shows the gpu hotspot. Very much recommended. HardwareInfo shows gpu hotspot also in taskbar when configured.

Soo when i was playing Valorant my GPU fan speed sometimes increased constantly and then decreased again, is that normal? I'm using GTX 1660 Super and followed the exact setup like in your video.

In cs2 while i play my fans chances in between 60% and 80% so much. Like it is 60% then goes 80% for like 10-20seconds and then back to 60%. So does it harm my fans or gpu or is it just good???

Bro before I try this will it work on XFX RS RX 470 4GB Black Edition? My idle temp is like 55°C - 61°C, but when I'm gaming under load it hits as high as 84°C
will this tutorial work? I await your response bro, thank you!

What should be the maximum fan rpm at around 75C? I usually set the fan speed at 65% (2400rpm) when I'm gaming. The stock fan curve is weird on my RTX 2060. Max RPM i noticed was 1800rpm which causes the temperatures to hit 84 (not undervolted) and 76 (undervolted 900mv) on full load.

Why does firmware control mode not working?
