Fascinating the top to the base does this allow for wood movement, your technique? I am about to do a similar feat and in all videos I watch everybody's concerned about wood movement?

FYI — a “tHrEaDeD iNsErT” is a FASTENER. So are BOLTS.

Looks great but I would worry a little bit about expansion and contraction.

The title said "without fasteners" and you show how to do it with fasteners. A bolt is a fastener.

There is no provision for season wood movement with this technique.
