Just found your channel and this was my first video I've watched of yours, and I subscribed in the first 30 seconds. You seem like an interesting dude and I'm a sucker for all things shop-wise, maker spaces, and nerdy shit. High five man!

Really digging this style. You should keep it funny and different for your closing catch phrase each time.

Building my daughter-in-laws a farmhouse table.
Thank you

So I said in my last comment about a small detail, or idea could help someone’s next project. My search on Sunday would show “table top button” almost ironic. Ended up making a button with my domino in both the work piece and the button. I applied a domino and glued it into the workpiece to be the “button”, which seemed to work well. I only say all of this to reconfirm your direction to move towards more frequent, small videos - they will be helpful. Keep it up and have a great weekend, bud.

loving these shorter videos, great content. You should do a shop tour/how you got into woodworking video sometime.

This can be done in any shop. Easy to make and verry effective. I use them all the time specially with wooden tops. With proper placing they respect wood movement and holding down the top. Good job.

Bruhhh this is exactly what I needed. My round walnut top is just sitting on the base because I was sure that just drilling through the apron wasn't ideal. LOL, thanks Shaun!

Using buttons right now on a farmhouse table. I used reclaimed barn wood for the table but i wasn’t comfortable with the strength of the wood for the buttons. So I cut out some maple buttons for connecting tabletop.

Good stuff man! Just found your channel recently. Love the idea of buttons versus z clips. Just another piece made by the maker.

Sweet! Just what I needed! Can't run to the hardware store for z-clips while COVID19 has everyone on lock down.
