This happened to me and after we had asked them to stop feeding out cat we brought her in becuase it was winter well after winter was over they kept feeding her claiming that she was their cat now she used to always sleep at my window but she didnt come back we went to our neighbors the next day to find out they had dumped her off at a highway we went and looked but never found her i hope she is doing okay

Dogs do this too. For nearly a year, our Golden retriever would wander off for weeks at a time and suddenly reappear none the worse for wear. After the dog being gone for well over 10 days last year, we drove by house 1/4 mile away and saw him sitting on their front porch looking to get let in. We decided to ask them what was going on and they stated that they thought dog was lost and they posted a lost and found ad in a paper we don't read and they decided to "keep" him but like us, they wondered where their dog would disappear to for week at a time! The dog had an unusual birthmark of one black toenail that we had pic of to prove ownership. But we decided that since they loved him so much, we weren't going to prevent the dog from visiting his other "owners".

Wait, I can relate :(. I used to have a cat and our neighbor didn’t think we were feeding them (we were) and she lured them in with milk. We got 2 of the cats back but we couldn’t get mine. I’ve never heard someone else who’s gotten their cat stolen

This is happening to me right now. My next door neighbor and her kids would try to catch my kitten to bring her inside. Luckily I have her inside right now but she only goes outside to use the bathroom bc she has tapeworms and my mom doesn’t want tapeworm’s in the bathroom even being treated with medicine so now I have to take her outside to use the bathroom. This is also not the first time they tried taking cats inside their house. They mostly take kittens in bc they’re more “cuter” than the older cats. I wish I could confront them and ask them to leave my cat alone or that my kitten belongs to me but I’m too scared to talk to them.

I had this one cat for 8 ish years, when we moved to a different house it would always eventually find its way back to our old one ( it was over 15 miles away ) so the neighbors started feeding him and we eventually just left him there as thats where he wanted to be

This happened to me before, But to be fair I didn't put a collar on my cat and I take responsibility. If you decide to get yours back/ get a new one please put a collar with your number on it, It's like 5 bucks.
