It's Mind-blowing! What Astronauts Revealed About Starship Flight 5 first CATCH...
The world of space exploration has been captivated by SpaceX's Starship program, and the recent Flight 5 test has taken the excitement to new heights.
The successful "Catching attempt" of Starship, wasn't just another step forward—it was a giant leap that left even seasoned astronauts in awe.
How Astronauts Revealed About Starship After the Catch and Landing Explosion?
Let’s find out on today’s episode of Alpha Tech:
It's Mind-blowing! What Astronauts Revealed About Starship Flight 5 first CATCH...
Even before the launch of Starship, astronaut Chris Hadfield tweeted in support of SpaceX: “Good luck to everyone SpaceX with today’s test launch and landings - audentis fortuna iuvat!”
For those who may not know much about him, astronaut Chris Austin Hadfield is the first Canadian to perform a spacewalk. He flew two Space Shuttle missions and also served as the commander of the International Space Station.
More than 10 years ago, Chris Hadfield viewed SpaceX as impractical. This dismissive attitude and general lack of understanding were common in the NASA community at the time. However, after retiring, he stepped out of NASA’s information bubble and quickly became a fan of SpaceX. He represents a group of astronauts capable of changing their opinions based on new information, and he is now an inspiration to the public about the wonders of space.

For the Flight 5 launch, Chris Hadfield closely followed the entire flight process, and it was likely so fascinating that he couldn’t miss any stage.
“Wow - phenomenal!!!!” he tweeted immediately after the Super Heavy booster landed.
Still impressed after the flight, he sent congratulations to SpaceX, along with a photo of the Super Heavy being hoisted between the two chopstick arms: “There was an enormous step forward in human capability today. Makes me even more excited for our collective future. Congratulations to all SpaceX!”
It’s certainly a joy that’s hard to put into words, and for those who have followed Chris Hadfield for a long time, it’s clear he has a great love for SpaceX—especially the Starship program, which he believes can change the future of the world.
Last year, when asked, “Would you want to fly to the Moon on SpaceX’s Starship?” Chris Hadfield responded, “The short answer is yes. Absolutely.”
Besides, he also expressed his hopes: “I think it's got potential to be a magnificent vehicle. I'd love to not only be looking at it and thinking about it but also maybe, someday, to have a chance to fly it as well.”
And of course, Chris Hadfield isn’t the only astronaut captivated by Starship—many other astronauts also share this affection for the Starship spacecraft.

SpaceX leaves Boeing, Blue Origin, and ULA in a dung heap.

What a momentous achievement for SpaceX, seeing that massive booster caught by the chopsticks is something I'll never forget! 🚀👍👍

I'm happy that my fee for Starlink is used to fund the Starship program.

SpaceX isn’t just a private company. It’s a private company run by a visionary who is not beholden to a board of directors or a government bureaucracy (even though they fight him every step of the way). Our government is no longer capable of doing such things. Also look at how large corporations have floundered (Boeing).

born too early to explore the stars, but this stuff is pretty exciting.

Its achievement cannot be overstated. Science fiction come alive.

We need to stop wasting trillions on Artemis, and go all in on this technology.

I do not want to dis NASA because without them we would not have had the moon missions, Hubble and advanced products but I will be honest about this. Innovation and progress for human space flight is now in the hands of people like Elon. Time for more government money to go to help companies like SPACEX and such and less for NASA

Elon plans to launch thousands of Starships to Mars FAA laughing hysterically and says "How? We are only going to let you launch 5 times a year, once every 10 weeks"

Boeing should cease their space activities until they can provide a basic commercial aircraft that is safe for passengers. FAA need to place more emphasis on Boeings safety standards on commercial aircraft. Or, maybe the FAA needs to investigate their own inspectors

fyi, Von Braun designed the Saturn 5 with a dream of Mars in mind. Is was Nixon, that made the choice to pursue a space plane instead of a Mars mission. Von Braun quit Nasa after that. The Space Shuttle had possible military applications against the Soviets, Nixon didn't see the use of putting humanity on Mars.

The one thing i noticed that might be a good idea, is to put some kind of fire suppression system on the tower, with arms that can wrap around the booster and attack any fire where required.

When I was a child the race to put a man on the moon was awesome, and gave me and millions of kid a life long interest in space engineering and physics, space X gives us all the dreams again and will influence a whole new generation to achieve great thing, and dear to dream of an alternative future, then one of war and conflict. J F K gave us Apollo now Elon Musk as given us Space X.

To be fair, 1 decade or more ago there was no reason to believe SpaceX would work so well.

When musk started, he was told by everyone that the best way to become a millionaire in the space industry was to start your business as a billionaire.

The historical record was not on SpaceX favor.

For we enthusiasts that didn't matter. We basically are just rooting for any company to work and if I've doesn't work we just forget it.

But for people in the industry, the analysis must be more careful, based on historical record of the industry, of a company, etc

Now that SpaceX has done the impossible twice (Falcon 9, Starship), I have a feeling that various entities of the world are going to start throwing cash at them. It's obvious that Elon Musk has the best team of engineers in the world... time to give them everything they need to be successful. They are the next Skunk Works. Nobody else is even close.
