My Hair Routine + My Tips For Growing Long Hair!

Hey guys, welcome back to this weeks video! This is always a top request from you guys, and I couldn't be more excited to share all about my hair routine! Over the last 6 years I transformed my hair routine. In my early 20's I was a hair dresser, until I became highly allergic to hair color. This lead me to damaged hair, a hair chop, and relearning everything I knew about hair. That experience changed my life, and everything I do in my hair routine. Enjoy!

I am an Arab woman from Iraq. Specifically, we women in Iraq have very long and dark hair as well. I always wanted to change its color to copper, but after seeing this clip and you talking about your hair with great love and its color, I changed my mind and decided to keep it dark brown. Thank you, girl.

I don’t know your age, but you literally look 10 years younger and way healthier with this hair colour! Gorgeous 😍

Your natural hair colour is beautiful, I'm so glad you managed to give up the dye and recover from the allergic reaction. I have what other people call "mousy brown" hair, and I was so self conscious about it when I was younger (I'm now mid thirties). I've had people describe their natural hair colour to me as an explanation for why they dye their own hair, and they always just end up pointing to my hair. I've never dyed mine though, I've just grown to accept it. When I was younger I always wanted to be either blonde or a dark brunette. Thanks for sharing your hair care tips, they're really helpful. I'm already using a wooden hairbrush but probably need to be more careful with my ends to maintain my length.

In case y'all don't know, blonde hair as an adult is almost as rare as red hair. Unless you live somewhere like Norway. Being blonde myself, and having white blonde hair as a child, I was just grateful my hair didn't turn light brown as both my parents did. I'm glad I never hated my own shade of blonde just because it got darker with age. Obviously not the first person to say this but your natural color is gorgeous and compliments your eyes so well!

I have not tried a turban but my hair is also straight, fine and kinks in a braid. One way I like to sleep is to separate my hair into two sections and twist each in the same direction and then twist the two sections around each other in the opposite direction and tie the end with scrunchie. You must twist the 2 smaller twists in the opposite direction or it will fall out. It keeps the hair together like a braid but gives more of a several day old curled look than the kinks I get with braid waves. I hope this may be helpful to someone!

Love this video! I lost my hair during chemo and I had been coloring it for 30 years! My hair came back a beautiful soft grey! I’m trying to learn natural ways to protect it. Right now it’s the longest I’ve had it since I was a teenager and it’s so soft and shiny!!! A gift of chemo!! ❤🙏🏻

guys...air is a chemical. everything is a chemical. you're not allergic to chemicals, you're allergic to specific ingredients that irritate your skin personally. some people are allergic to peanuts, but that doesn't mean theyre bad for everyone. dont fear-monger "chemicals." natural doesn't have a standardized definition. hair dye is not simply a chemical on its own, it's just an irritant. it's a harsh substance, not chemical. i left peppermint essential oil on my scalp on accident and it gave me blisters and burns...and it's "natural." stop calling things "chemicals, " and start calling them, "irritants, " and that usually will only apply to you and some other people. loved the video, though :)

You can also make an Apple cider vinegar spray with a few drops of rosemary/lavender to spray in your hair to help with frizz in the summer and static in the winter. I have very similar hair length and texture to you except mine is a dark brown.

I had such a similar experience with my hair with dying it so much. I also hated my natural dark blonde but eventually grew to like it and I’m so happy I stopped dying it. It was such a game changer to the condition of my hair ❤ hoping one day my hair will be as long as yours too though, I’ve always struggled to get it at a good length

Hi Bre, Hello from Alaska. I loved this video. I also have really long hair hair but live in an insanely dry climate, Alaska, (Gardening Zone 3b). I am a former cosmetologist (for about 2 years, now I'm an accountant) I am also into natural ways to care for my hair. I wash mine only twice a week and I also do the split end trimming. But I do still color my hair (just the roots to cover the grey, I'm 55) and its only the roots, I don't run it through the rest of it, whatever trickles down, trickles down and thats good enough.
Thank you for a wonderfuly informational video, and I love the gardening. Have a wonderful planting season.
