How Long Does A Wrap Last?

This wrap of mine is going on about 5 years strong now, and I'm giving you kind of an update on how it has held up over the years, note this car has been garaged day in and day out so it hasn't really been in the elements, only see rain a couple of times. next wrap is going to be getting a wide body kit for the car and wrapping either in blue chrome again or getting a cool camouflage wrap.

I personally don't think that car needs to be rewrapped. I've seen much worse degradation, and much more decrepit paint compared to that! I still think that looks relatively good. But I totally understand how blemishes can be annoying to look at!

How long would a wrap last it the car isn't garage kept?

I had my car wrapped 3m satin dark grey about 2 years ago and it already has some sun damage on the trunk area and a bit on the hood. It was not kept in a garage and we've had a recent heat wave in los angeles. Or at least I think its sun damage, nobody can remove it with car wash materials. I am trying to figure out how this could happen. I thought the wrap would at least be able to withstand the sun for 2 years. Could it be that they used some cheap brand and lied about using 3m? They left a piece of 3m wrap in my trunk I think as their way of letting me know they used the good stuff even though we already discussed this... which to me is kind of a red flag that they may not be very honest.

I’m more likely to cover my trucks in bed liner. It would look better and hide the abuse.

No different than having paint age on a street car. And if anyone is close enough to be 'checking out flaws' they have other intentions. Sometimes people with wrap jobs think everyone is looking but most don't care about your bubbles, wrinkles and nicks.
