in my personal experience, it is vital to use either ceramic coating or occasionally using some sort of vinyl restoration product to bring back vitality. Sun damage is definitely #1 and IF you park your wrapped vehicle in the same spot and same position every day, you risk having more damage to one side or part of the wrap and not others, creating noticeable fading or discoloration depending of the type of Wrap involved (color-changing wraps tend to change colors or go black eventually ). just a heads up for those of you without garages.

You've earned my thumbs up and sub. I'm not a person who comments on videos much, but I have to with this one. No matter what you charge your customers for work like this, it simply isn't enough. The level of detail and the time that you spent (days? a week?) on your own vehicle was impressive. I imagine that your paying customers get even better treatment.

first the wrap.
second the clear wrap.
third, five coats of ceramic.
fourth, it's been nearly five years since it was done. she still looks new.

I mean 3 years in direct light with the sun beating down on it seems like a decent amount of time

Wrap looks sick. But I think some dope final touches would be restoring the trim and maybe wrapping the MR2 lettering on the back.

DANG... that's a lot of work to do every 2 or 3 years! Not to mention, you make that stuff look easy and made that car look awesome.

I remember when you only had a couple hundred subs, you came a long way pretty quick. Love to see it

Nice work! 😍 Just a small detail.. Use a clear vinyl to wrap the taillights and the side blinkers! It will do a use difference! 💪💪💪 It will be like out off the Toyota dealership!!! 👌😉

It'll probably be more damaged on the glass as it'll retain more heat because of the thickness compared to the thin sheet metal.

These wraps remind me when I had bought my parents Oldsmobile Cutlass station wagon in a light yellow and painted it at Earl Shibe in a bright yellow which looked like a banana for $299 complete. Thanks for posting the video. I like the fast pace.

thank you so much. I have been waiting for you to do the MR2 again and see how you wrapped it just so I have a good reference point so when I do it myself. Amazing color and work as always.

I had this problem with the roof on my Kia. The Avery vinyl I used was rated for 5 years on vertical surfaces and 3 years on horizontal surfaces. The shiny outer layer started to peel after a little over 3 years...it took 4.5 hrs to get the vinyl off the roof. But I didn't ceramic coat it, took it through car washes and parked it outside 100% of the time. In the future, I'll either peel it at the first signs of damage, or I'll sell the car before it can happen. lol

my previous car had its roof wrapped in black for 7 years, just weekly washed and always have been outside. after those years the wrap still was like new, and came off the car without any problems.

I have my wrap (Avery SWF900) on my MR2 for 2, 5 years now. No coating except for the occasional wax after washing, maybe once every half year.. The car always sits outside. But I think the Dutch weather isn't bad enough to damage it. It still looks great when it's washed. Looking for many years to come.
