Jared and Richard talking about something besides pied piper is so refreshing

Wow, this is the best Sam Altman interview I've ever seen, he was so comfortable in speaking his thoughts and vision. The interviewer did a really great job with relevant, non intrusive questions and not interrupting him, giving him space to talk about a topic or not without forcing it. Please call Sam back for another episode, I could hear this for hours and hours non stop.

Saw Sam picking mangos out at Whole Foods in early March this year, I didn't want to make a scene but I quietly approached him and let him know how much I appreciate what he is doing for the world and that I admire his and OpenAI's work.

He kindly brushed off any praise and deferred the success of the company to his employees, then he started walking away but quickly returned to give me both of the mangos he picked out. "These are perfectly ripe, you have them." I said certainly, and went to check out...

The clerk let me know my groceries were paid for and I received $1, 000 in gift cards. Class act Sam Altman. I am forever a fan.

That was probably my favorite interview with Sam I've seen! Well researched, challenging but not awkward and intrusive. Hope Sam agrees and comes back many more times!

Recommendation here that I think will help a lot - Use a photo of Sam sitting from the Podcast in the thumbnail
(I overlooked it twice not realizing this was a podcast)

This is 10x better than that long and boring Google IO pitch.

It’s nice to see a tech CEO for a change that seems to act like one rather than a celebrity, or messianic figure. It’s refreshing to hear someone with measured responses

This was so fucking good, pardon my language. Hearing how Sam is talking about the future always feels like getting a tiny peak behind the curtains since he is probably one of the most informed people on what is to come. I literally fell asleep during the Google IO corporate-speak-fest, but this had my undivided attention from start to finish!

Usually Sam is defensive when it comes to interview. but this feels like he is very comfortable. Good job to the interviewer

The fact that this doesn't have 6 million views after the recent announcement like a Drake or Kendrick diss track does in just a few hours shows how BLINDSIDED the general public will be as this really takes off. Many won't have a clue where to even start, while only a small batch of others will be miles ahead of the curve, and even they will still be far behind the corporations and global governments. 😮

1.) This tech will leverage everything you do = You will be more productive and efficient.
2.) Do I want Sam Altman to know everything about me? Because this tech will give Open AI every bit of data you 'input' and the content/intent of every question you ask.

First time listening to the podcast. I very much appreciated the snappy pacing, the open-ended questions, and how you let your guest speak uninterrupted. Great work overall. Thanks.

The incredible thing about the new model is that it can embed sight, sound, and language in the same latent space. That’s really cool

Easily the best interview I’ve seen of Sam hands down. The quality of the questions and how you conduct yourself is 10/10

They should put chatgpt 4o into cars, to make the talking cars!

If you just put GPT4o in ANY form of physical robotic body, doesnt even have to be humanoid, just a bb-8 rollin on the floor capable of basic rhoombus obstacle avoidance and following you, would be INSANE... Literally C3P0 in real life, right now, today. Think about every line C3P0 said in the movies, GPT4o is capable of all of that. The only thing missing is locomotion (which could be driven by a much simpler programmed AI only doing locomotion at the command prompt of GPT4o).
Please someone do this, fast. We're literally here, right now, already. And i cant believe it.

This is the thing about GPT4o, it showed that, as long as it is capable of EMULATING emotion in the voice, and can understand appropriate use of emotions (smirking, joking, laughing, whispering, surprise, etc), we're literally already here.
They dont need to actually be sentient. They dont need to be self-aware or alive.
They just need to converse and behave AS IF they were, AS IF they had emotions.
And this model does. Already, in 2024.... Not in 2300 as some people predicted.
It's unbelievable. The Touring Test is dead.

Great interview, Logan. Thanks for giving Sam an environment where he felt safe enough to take time to consider the question and perhaps even verbally work through his answer. We neuro-divergent folks truly *need* those types of spaces, and when we find them, that's when we can really be understood and shine.
