my mom found me as a baby laying in my crib with my eyes wide open she thought I was dead but I was sleeping she shook me and I cried. I still do it to this day. I also have chronic dry eye. I'm luckily no one has mistaken me for dead again

Haha. Congratulations!! My baby is now 11 months old and he doesn't really do this anymore, but my brother is over 40 and he still sleeps with his eyes open. Talk about weird! He will fall asleep on the couch and you go in there and start talking to him and he "wakes up" and it really freaks you out!

You can probably look forward to him doing it for a long time - especially when he's tired! My baby is 9 months and he still does it when hes really tired hehe.

You mean gas? Yeah my mom says they smile as newborns because of that, but when they are asleep, I think they are really smiling because of a dream they are having lol. If you see him in this video - it really looks like a real smile and not a grimace like a gas pain hehe.

I just had my little girl October 8th, and the first time I saw her doing this it completely freaked me out! Lol. I'm not going to lie, it's sort of creepy to watch her - her eyes are all rolled back and continue to move, and then she does this half smile... I actually Googled it to see if it was normal, and found your video! Glad to know Zoe isn't the only one lol.
