"Congress gets more Trumpy" is certainly not my takeaway from this saga. Some 40 Republicans who are otherwise MAGA voted against the new Trump bill after he killed the first one, joining with Dems in killing it. If anything this is a rare big defeat for Trump and shows that 1) he doesn't have a mandate and 2) his grip on the party is weak, especially now that he's a lame duck and the GOP will have even LESS seats in the House next year.

No government contractor, especially one so involved with so many other governments in so many ways, should ever have a role in our government.

Running a business and running a government are not the same. They each require a different goal, philosophy & talent. That's like expecting a concert pianist to use their talent to create a masterpiece of fine art, or a brain surgeon using his talent to be a gourmet chef.
