He’s basically possessed by a great evil and her singing the song was a spell to try and get the evil to reveal itself

For anyone that is curious

In the birthright path, she doesn't know that Garon is corrupted, and the song is meant as a distraction so Corrin and the Birthright siblings can attack to try and kill him

In Conquest, she knows that Garon has been corrupted by Anankos, and the song has a curse imbued in it to try and purge Anankos from Garon. After the song fails to purge Anankos from Garon, she realizes it's too late to save him and he must be killed.

My favorite thing about this cutscene is how perfectly it captures the story of each game.
Birthright: Calm, beautiful, strong.
Conquest: *Adrenaline rush INTENSIFIES*

Weird that Azura gets to dance in the Hoshido version, but in Nohr's it's a random lady, really makes you think
