But when Bret Hart's relationship with Vince returned in 2006, he started attacking Hogan and even attacking Owen Hart's wife. This is Bret Hart for you. Also, Hulk Hogan agreed to lose to Yokozuna and not Bret Hart, and it was the right decision. They made Bret Hart defeat legends like Roddy Piper and Ric Flair and despite that he did not succeed. They gave him the belt five times and despite that, he did not achieve the desired success. It was a modest success for a failure. The biggest disaster is that he said in an interview that Vince promised him that he would carry the belt for seven years. That means he would be champion until 1999!!! You should be happy that he lost the belt in 1993 instead of crying over him because you would cry more if he remained world champion until 1999. When Hogan did his run-in at the end of WrestleMania 9, the plan was ALWAYS for Yokozuna to kick out of the big boot and legdrop and pin Hogan to regain the title at King of the Ring.

Hart thought it would be better for Hogan to beat Yokozuna at KOTR, and then submit to the Sharpshooter at SummerSlam. However, and here's the key fact, he never actually brought this up with either Hogan or McMahon. It only ever existed in his own imagination.

After Yoko beat Hogan at KOTR, Hart threw a temper tantrum. McMahon called him out on it, so Hart ran to Meltzer and told a blatant falsehood. Sadly, Hart's version is now accepted by many...
