I just stumbled upon this video and your blog. Those are all great tips even if you don't live in or own an RV. Great work.

Great info here. But this is why we don't buy small motorhomes. I grew up in a too-small house with three brothers and our folks. I can't imagine spending a rainy weekend, or any time for that matter in a 22' Class B. You folks must be so in love! But I'll put up with the girth and expense of my 40' class A with great pleasure. Thanks for posting.

I LOVE your video! I'm 72 and just moved into my 31 ft. Coachman full
time in Feb. 2016... after wishing for over 35 years that I could do it!
I lived in a 23 ft. travel trailer with my daughter for 3 years in the
very early 80s... but I will still working (as an ironworker!) back
then. I'm a photojournalist and will be focusing on stock photography
and having as much FUN as possible in coming years... and making $$$
doing what I LOVE on the road! Keep an eye out for my "Adventures with
Sunshine" blog and YouTube channel... coming soon! I will have friends going with me from time to time... so your tips WILL certainly keep me aware of surviving in a small space with a friend!

I agree. there will be days that you may find a town that does not have a laundromat. as well as three days worth of clothing is not enough.
also, at least two coats, one for cool weather, other for winter weather. if you head for the mountains. there in various areas WILL be snow. being in shorts on a mountain with snow is not fun.

Great tips and very well produced.
Of course individuals will have additions or alterations to your rules but this gets people thinking in the right direction.
Love it!

A great idea is to put a little sticker on each thing you pack into your RV. When you use it, take the sticker off. When you go home and unpack, whatever still has a sticker didn't get used, so don't pack it for next time.

..i currently have a 6x10 haulmark transport cargo trailer.reg says 2990 gvwr. it has 205/75d14 tires on problem is my garage door opening is 84 " high .but the trailer measure aprox 86 1/2 inches high. i was able to get it into my garage just barley by flattening the tire. but makes it very unpractical to use having to re-inflate and deflate with every use. have to keep it garaged due to HOA rules i'm thinking of changing the rims and tires from the 14 inch to a 12 inch in the homes of gaing the clearance i need to pull it in and out without messing with the tire but can my trailer run safely on a 12 inch tire with a d rating ? also will the 12 inch give me the additional aprox i need to clear the garage height thoughts or recommendations?

Hah, I don't care to carry dirty clothes very far. We do pack more than 3 days worth but we travel cross country and through different climates so we do have a few extra things for cold places. I guess we stock heavy on the underthings and socks and probably a weeks worth of clothing.
