This video actually shows blackbeards character really well and it reminds me of when he met Luffy in impel down and was shocked when Luffy jet pistol'd him. In his head, Ace took the downfall for Luffy, Blackbeard wasn't going after Luffy for any personal reason in the first place, he just needed a pirates head he could take to the WG and Ace ended up working out so in his head Luffy should be grateful he avoided an unnecessary confrontation, but that isn't the case because for Luffy, it IS personal. Just like how he was confused in this video when Ace wanted to go fight Kaido not for glory, but for revenge, he was confused that Luffy punched him, because for blackbeard it isn't personal. He doesn't have anything against Luffy or anyone else for that matter. It wasn't personal when he killed thatch, tried to take Luffys head, turned Ace in, killed WB, invaded Amazon lily etc. These are all just things that were necessary to fulfill his ambition. So in that same way he can't fathom how Luffy or Ace make it personal, why they would trouble themselves without even hoping to gain anything like glory from it.

So thatch eats dark dark => BB kills him => BB steals df power=>BB fled

Thatch didnt eat df=> he saw BB do something sus =>BB protected his secret by killing thatch=> BB takes uneaten df

So what actually happened?
Oda can change a lot based on these two cases.

My theory is marco actually knows BB's secret. He is with him like buggy and shanks together.

But ofc oda didnt let marco tell anything to luffy just like how luffy doesn't know robin was with dragon during timeskip lmao.
