"Hey you wanna stay at my hotel?"

"Nah I'm good"

"Welcome to my hotel! I hope you enjoy your stay!"

This song is so good, I might just buy the game because of the music.

7 minutes and 4 seconds of lo-fi hip hop beats to game/study/chill to

This track is great, but the level is
my own personal hell

The main conflict in Celeste is whether the music or the gameplay was better.

This is your last chance, Oshiro. You're losing her!

You know I could hear that right?

Oshiro is the classic "please pity me" significant other. In their desperation for a relationship, they try to exploit the sympathy others have for them by feigning helplessness. Oshiro could have easily cleaned up his own mess, but he was too busy trying to impress Madeline to appreciate everything she had done for him.

In the end, after he lashes out at Madeline, he finally realizes how toxic he is. The hotel represents Oshiro's social life: prior to meeting Madeline, his only concern was getting people to stay with him. It's only after he lashes out at Madeline that he realizes just how fucked up he is. With that, he "closes the hotel for repairs", signaling that he's going to try and clean up his own life before he tries to get involved with anyone else's.

I love the subtle inclusion of Mr. Oshiro’s textual leitmotif: the theremin, every time you get close to him (4:34)

This level made me want to give Oshiro a hug.

Seriously. I think he needs one.

Never thought I'd be jamming to a theremin but here I am.

This is always the song that I can hear the dying/explosion sound effect in my head alongside.

I love this so much! I also noticed something. Badeline is in this level and the music seems to hint at her presence at 3:40 if you listen to the high-pitched synth you can hear Badeline ‘s theme.

I absolutely love this song. The way it builds and adds layers as you work your way through the level is so utterly engrossing and well done. Bravo!

The song is so peaceful... And the fact that each component of it opens up stage by stage as you progress through the level is so well thought out

I was listening to NPR's Morning Edition on my way to work and instantly recognized this when it started playing in the background! I was so excited like "Hey it's that song from the resort before Scattered and Lost" (sorry I don't know all their names lol). Always a treat to hear Lena's music and it was a surprise to be sure! I've been getting a healthy dose of Celeste again since Farewell was released and it exceeded my expectations in both gameplay and music.

One of my personal favorite tracks in the OST. I put down my controller and paused just to appreciate the soundtrack when 1:29 kicked in my first time playing.

It’s tracks like these that got you guys nominated for Best Soundtrack at the 2018 Game Awards. I’d love to get this sometime; it’s a blast to watch others play, and tells a fabulous story.

Even though this chapter is when the game starts to get difficult, every time I get to it instead of starting to get furious and yelling etc I end up humming to that bassline. It's a simple and short loop, and yet its relaxing.
