Great reviews. Thanks for dividing them up as you did.

The Apes line of paddles (both the PLE S and the PLE Elongated) are spectacular combinations of power and control with lots of spin. The 6.25" length on the PLE is amazing for so many reasons beyond using a two-handed backhand. Vatic Pro Flash is still an amazing paddle for anyone starting out who wants something more than a fiberglass paddle.

Fantastic review! This is the most honest, realistic, and most accurate description of how these particular paddles play than any review I have seen thus far. My experience with the Six Zero Paddles (Black Diamond, DBD, Ruby) is exactly like yours unlike other reveiewers except that the Ruby always had a great sweet spot for me even though, like you said, there was a break-in period. Keep it up and when you get a chance please review the Neonic Flow. It is quite possibly even better than the B&B Loco.

Great review!!!! Just bought the BD and am super excited. Its my first big upgrade and Ive never played with carbon fiber (current paddle is fiberglass) so im hoping its a quick learning curve

Thanks for the focus on the "hybrid" shape. I'm leaning toward this shape for my next buy. Waiting on 6.0s concept paddle they may release soon.
I shuffle paddles all the time so playing my GB Pro Pwr E is tricky to play with.
Good luck this year with your channel.

OK...Right now, I'm playing the Ruby with Franklin X40 balls and the Pickleball Apes Pro Energy S with any ball that is harder than a Franklin X40. Than I hear you tell us that these are the two paddles you are playing with! Nice video, BTW! I especially appreciate how you talk about and assess sweet spot and forgiveness. I played with the Black Diamond Power (Fiberglass) and loved it one day and put it down the next...now I'm realizing that must have been lack of forgiveness there and I was a little off the second day.

Love me some hybrids! I have 2 DBD 16mm, DBD 14mm, the Ruby, and the Loco. Each are amazing in their own way!

Great review! I tested the DBD and felt it didn't have enough pop on the overhead, so I bought the Ruby. I loved the Ruby. Could use alittle bit more pop/or power on the overhead and put aways, but dinking way better than my Legacy Pro. My son is on the smaller side and needs more power. Do you think the regular black diamond will have more power than the Ruby? Is the black diamond controllable on the dinks and the third shot drops?

I also have Pickleball Apes and Ruby. No comments for Apes since the shape is long elongated and did take me a while to get used to. My first impression of Ruby was a hard-hitting feel and I can grip the ball better, however, after a few weeks of rec and a small tournament play, I feel the surface is kinda of softening now. The spin is still great and as you said, the dwell time is a bit longer than normal carbon fiber face, but I do need to hit harder to generate the power I need, especially when I play single. There is a new paddle called Body Helix X-3 Pro. Could you try to give a review of that paddle?

Solid review! Vatic paddles didn’t make the cut? Maybe prism for control/all court or flash for pop?

Nice work! I love my DBD 16mm but it irritates my tennis elbow a bit. Did you notice any of the other paddles being more "elbow friendly"? My Vatic Flash (orange) is super elbow friendly but it is just nowhere near as controllable as the DBD.
