Great review! This definitely has me interested in the J2K and/or Ruby. I was previously playing with the DBD and loved it but wanted some power so I got my hands on the MOD TA15 which is super fun (seems like all the benefits of a control paddle with lots of feel, but also lots of pop/power maybe even too much..). Curious if you have recommendations for something between the pop/power of DBD and MOD TA, but still lots of feel and control.

I didn't manage to get the J2K during the initial pre-order because it was sold out but I grab the J2K Pro. I'm happy with it but I wish I had a chance to try the J2K. I tried the Ruby and like that but I am glad I waited till a cheaper option like the J2Ks came along.

I have the paddles from standard to the extreme elongated, hybrid ones are well balanced, I'm looking forward to the CF/platinum paddle in hybrid shape.

Would there be someway to work out pop from a controlled drop test?
As in get a hopefully clear tube of x amount of length like 5 to 6 foot. With a release mechanism.
Then you can use that to find the sweet spot and then test the pop (or return of energy) without the human factor?
