Question: Why would an altimeter show temperature error specifically with cold weather stating you are higher than you are? If cold weather has increased pressure wouldn’t that make an altimeter show more compression and therefore show a lower altitude?

But as we go up temperature decrease and pressure increase

I have a doubt .. Plz clarify.. high altitude => low air pressure, but high altitude => low temperature (in troposphere, drop of 6.5°C/km rise), but then we also read low temp. => high air pressure.. 😓

sir i have a doubt that in winters the air is moist and water vapours are present in larger amount then according to u if larger the water vapours lower will be air pressure then in winters the atmospheric pressure will low but as u said earlier that in winters the air pressure is high bcz of low temperature then how 😓😰
