What we really need is to learn how our own bodies can be used as a neurofeedback device.

I bought a few different headbands based off your reviews (I believe it was the muse and the mendi) - tbh the changes were very minor. I meditate regularly - you dont need the muse, and the one where you focus your mind for the ball was definitely placebo. You overhype things brother.

As someone who is a very consistent and long term meditator I have a muse device and although I have thousands of hours meditating with the muse device it definitely isn’t very accurate with some of the deeper meditation experiences. The brainwaves science is fun and interesting but as you dive deeper into meditation the very act of trying to track it keeps my brain distracted haha 😆. The power of non attachment and letting go of the world in meditation definitely helps. I still use the headband for at least 30 minutes a day but I truly like no devices for real peace.
I do think in terms of teaching people about triggers and anxiety and such it’s good to see what that looks like on paper but also definitely not necessary for healing and meditation.

TRIPP on the Meta Quest 3 is really great. Would be nice to see a review of this type of tech!

Great info as usual. For HRV you have never reviewed the heart math products. Great HRV trainers. Been using them in our clinic for over 20 years

Hi Dr. Cody, thank you for your presentations, I am a psychotherapist specializing in Psycho Spiritual integration of Awakening experiences. Do you know of any VR with biofeedback that can control the Audio Visual Entrainment to move the brain in to various states such as Alpha (8 to 10 Hz) Beta (12 to 40 Hz)Delta (1 to 4 Hz)Theta (4 to 7 Hz) Gamma (40 to 70 Hz) Sort of like the Kasina Light & Sound DeepVision™with Ganzfeld Frames, or David's Delight Pro but with VR and Biofeedback, were the biofeedback controls the patterns and the speed and colors of the flashing lights, creating a journey through the different mind states so that one can recognize when one is in theta, or alpha, or delta state, for example? Thank you :)

It’s so exciting 🎉 what a fabulous summary- your enthusiasm is infectious
😮I’m so completely gadget obsessed- what are your thoughts on BrainTap ? It would be amazing to have full immersion experiences available for home use - I’m still waiting for the Opus soundbed to be delivered - how cool would it be to stack fully immersive neuro sensory experiences and hypnosis to help recover from trauma and of course for productivity and brain 🧠 health ❤

Hey Cody, how good is the sensai device? Like can it replace in-clinic neurofeedback or is it just the best at home alternative available? How good is it compared to myndlift?

This is such an excellent, comprehensive video - thank you! I have the Muse S device, but haven't tried any of these others out yet. Super interesting!

What would you do to yourself with a PEMF equipment? Would you use it for personal use?

Hey Cody, I just purchased a used Muse S gen 2 headband for 130 dollars thanks to your videos. I have a question: Is it true that training too much alpha waves as one does with the Muse relaxation exercises can be bad for you and slow you down too much if you dont also train other brain waves? I have adhd btw.

What's the best brain device in your opinion specifically for improving concentration/focus and executive function (working memory, set shifting, etc.)? I'm thinking Muse + Myndlift ? but not exactly sure. Maybe FocusCalm? Thanks for any info

You mentioned help with insomnia, specifically around falling asleep. Have you heard any information about staying asleep?

Thank you Dr Cody. Good Overview. Glad that I already own a lot from your list. Pulsetto really stands out because is is the only neurostimulation device - and I can tell you it works.

Great video! I'm looking for the right solution to track self guided meditation sessions - I don't want guided recordings or games to follow. Will muse allow this? Or does anyone have any other advice for this use case? 🙏

Would liked to have heard a mention about pricing.. especially if some of these devices require monthly subscription payments in order to work.. i.e. if the company/internet is down the device is still usable.

How does the Pulsetto compare with NeoRhythm?
