My wife and I once picked up my grandparents to take them out to dinner. Grandpa sat in front and my wife sat in back with grandma so we could have our own convos. I started the car and checked for belts, as was my habit, and saw that grandpa didn’t have his on, so I sat and waited for him to put it on.
Grandpa (g): uh…we’re all in, we can go…
Me: just as soon as you put your seatbelt on.
G: I don’t need one, let’s go.
Me: my car doesn’t move until all belts are on.
Back and forth a couple times, then grandpa looked me in the eye, held eye contact, and very deliberately reached over and shifted the car into reverse. I maintained eye contact, shifted back into park, and turned off the engine. Finally, my grandma, who was in back snickering with my wife over “our silly men” said “Louis, if he’s only HALF as stubborn as you, we’ll be here for another 2 hours. Put your seatbelt on, I’m hungry!!!”
He did, and we went off for a great meal.

Being ejected from a car and banging around the cabin is more dangerous than whatever happens with a belt.

20 years ago my wife and I rolled my Jeep six times and we were told that if we were not wearing seat belts we would have been killed. Even with belts I fractured my back, broke my left arm and fractured my skull. My wife had minor internal injuries. Seat belts save lives.

"Do you know how dangerous seatbelts are in an accident" Not as dangerous as you going through a windshield at 70mph, but hey, you wanna be a smear on pavement then you can do it in your own car.

When family members are toxic cutting them off is the only way.

Went to buffet years ago. My boyfriend goes to the bathroom and after he is done washes his hands like any normal person should do. To his horror, another man who seems to have gone for number two, leaves the stall and goes directly to the food and picks up the spoons and serves himself. We told a worker about it. Cannot remember what happened but they did change the spoons. How gross is that man.

Imagine being in your 20s and still being so fussy about seatbelts. I would've expected this from young children, but it's just sad from people who are supposed to be adults.

Seatbelt story, a friend of mine had a daughter that flat out refused to wear a seatbelt. So, she hauled her daughter to a class the local PD held. This was a while back so I don't know if the local PD still do this, but lets just say they didn't pull many punches.. Since it was voluntary, they didn't edit much. No bodies, but anything else was fair game including blood splatters, shattered windshields from where someone went through complete with blood and other things. She said after the class when they got into the car she put her seatbelt on and told my friend that daughter never wanted to be one of those people in the class. Daughter now has kids of her own and from what my friend told me, whenever one of her kids turns 16, they get the class. (Daughter lives out of state.) She never has any problems with her kids wearing seatbelts.

I love how the Karen has no problem having her son peep in OP’s house, but having cameras is a problem.

Kids with binoculars in the OP’s yard… they might be under 7 but that doesn’t mean they’re only peeping on her to see if she’s home.

It’s best to nip that behavior in the bud ASAP.

Karen: Take down your cameras, I don't want you to film me trespassing
Me: How dumb do you think OP is, seriously?

Sister cleaning house story: OP, you weren't ripping her off, she was trying to rip you off! Quite frankly, if you hadn't thrown her out when you did she would have gotten into things she had no business getting into or caused various items to "disappear" (which she may have done already, check your belongings and important papers).

That guy in the third story was 100% an addict. The erratic behavior adds to that conclusion

Story 6: Kid; "Seatbelts are dangerous"

Me: Say that to the Pavement when you get into a Car Accident and your skull gets smashed wide open

I learned that a seat belt really makes a difference.

This accident happened when I was in 1st grade.

My family was on the way home after a day at the zoo. When a fender bender came up behind my Dads Atro Van and guided us into the back end of a ladies car who had pulled over to talk on her phone for something and was about to pull out.

I did not like seat belts as a kid, mainly the shoulder strap. Now my favorite seat was behind the front passenger next to the sliding door. Well being a kid, I was using my pillow like serving tray, the cap of a bottle as a tea cup and the water bottle as a tea pot. Roleplaying my own make believe tea party.

I was sitting with my knees facing the door when I went left cheek first into the front passenger's seat.

My lil sis and I got a chance to ride in an ambulance on the stretcher boards. I was over all physically fine, she was sitting in the back middle seat and this was before shoulder straps were the norm on middle seats. She needed to be checked. My mom had a look over and my dad was fine as well.

Since then, I have made sure to properly wear my seatbelt. That one accident has clicked inside me, every time I get into a vehicle rather driving or passenger, it's on correctly.

Imagine being over 20 and missing your flight (and half of your vacation) because you're too entitled and stubborn to follow basic safety instructions...

Officer, how can you be so sure I am the one who robbed his house? It’s not like he got any security cameras!

Story 3: Don't you hate when people try to exploit your generosity and leech off your money while lying about what it's for?

Wtf, those seatbelt “kids” are grown men! I would have just thrown them and their luggage out as soon as he refused to wear the seatbelt. Multiple calls to dad?! He should’ve called an Uber like a big boy.

Story 6: Always wear your seatbelts, even if you hate them. If you refuse to wear them, inertia will teach you a lesson. Also, seatbelts do not possess serious danger in a car crash, they do the opposite.

Also, the fact that grown adults are refusing to wear seatbelts really speaks volumes about their personality.
