Re: story #2. His father scams his own daughter into buying a failing business, and he can't believe the same father wouldn't sue for his ex wife's house? His father is almost certainly a classic psychopath.

"Boys will be boys" is one of the most infuriating excuses I've ever heard. because I've heard it always used to excuse boys of things they really shouldn't get away from. Bullying other kids, stealing, being rude or behaving poorly in public, and worst of all sexual assault.

Story 1: Imagine making a fuss over a self-serving coffee machine. OP won't get fired because they were doing their job the right way. Karen clearly just wanted to boss someone around like they were a slave.

The easiest remedy for trespassing neighbors is to give them notice of trespass in front of a cop. If they trespass again, they will be arrested, and the beauty is that you have them on record with the police.

Story 2: the most disturbing thing to me is not just that this man was willing to sue their own child, it's his motive. He deliberately screwed her over for his own personal gain. Not only that, but he was using his child as collateral to get back at his ex-wife. Wrong on so many levels.

Story2 - The daughter should have filed bankruptcy for the business. Had she done that she would have totally avoided any personal liability and her father would have been left high and dry.

I had a moment like that with my dad. Straight up told him if he did what he planning to do, he would lose me over it. Forever. I was serious and he saw that. Needless to say, my relationship with my father has improved since then. We came to a new understanding with each other.

In story 2, I honestly think that the father is extremely lucky that the sister didn't countersue for every penny she had already paid to him for his failing business. As well as all the money she lost while trying to keep it afloat. If I was in her position, that's exactly what I would have done. Have him get me back to the same financial place I had been prior to him scamming me out of all my money.

Berry Story: If I were OP, as soon as I had my first encounter with the Mother's Entitlement, I'd have installed both a fence along the entire Property Line liberally decorated with No Trespassing signs as well as Camera's watching the entire yard - making sure they only watch MY yard and not the neighbours...

The moment I saw the Neighbours Trespassing, I'd tell them to leave and never return or I WILL call the Police and have them Arrested and I'd also call a Lawyer to send them a formal FRAG OFF AND DIE! Nastygram (AKA a Cease and Desist)...

The instant I saw them come back, I'd call 911 and Press Charges...if they're unwilling or unable to understand my warning, the Lawyer's warning AND the Signs then I'm gonna smack you with something you CAN'T ignore or not understand...

Lawsuits can have many twists and turns. Personally I think the daughter should have asked for her money back since bookkeeping was fraudulent. Second just to spite the old man the mother should have sued the father fir half the price of the house and attorney's fees. She would not have been given a dime but pops would have had to pay her lawyer.

Story number 2. OP already threatened his father that if he went through with the lawsuit, he wouldn’t talk to him anymore. So…. He’s still THINKING about it? No wonder his narcissistic dad ignored him.
