I had nose ring for many years ( since I was 14 and now I’m 43). My Dad came with me to have it done so I’m not sure it was out of rebellion or not. However, recently my faith has been going through a transformation and I felt convicted by it because I have worn it for so many years as part of my ‘identity’ as in my image. God is stripping everything back and pulling out the weeds in my life right now, so I just took it out as an act of having my identity in Christ, not what I wear or what I look like.

While growing up, I was one who never wore jewelry. When I was gifted I still never wore them. I tried, but each time I wore something, I felt like it just wasn't right for me or it was wrong. Even a cross necklace. I could never understand it, but I was totally okay with it. When I got saved and read the Bible, coming across those scriptures, I knew I was in the right for myself. No ear piercings, nothing. Everyone is different.
