This is a GREAT tutorial. If you cannot connect then you are missing something. Which is easy to do since connecting to a Canon camera's WIFI is horribly complex.

Thank you for the tutorial. I am doing the same and things are fine, but when I close the camera and open it in another day I can't see the name of the camera in my mobile wireless list. Should I configure it each time? or I'm missing something?

i did have the connection but for some reason after not using the camera for a few months it wouldn't reconnect. cleared the settings and reconnected and now problem. i was going to take it back to canon. luckily I didn't do that.

Using this feature can you automatically sync the photos from your camera to a network hard drive?

This is the worse feature on the 5d! I think we got it to work once. I can’t believe they don’t have an update that fixes this pairing issue.

Can’t i just send a photo to an email address directly through my 5D... This doesn’t have to be that complicated

The problem is Canon Connect doesn’t work. It shows the connection but says Camera not connected. Works about 1 out of 10 times doing the same thing over and over. Very frustrated. I’ve wasted hours on this, doing every trouble shooting suggestion imaginable.
