Cannon Connect is a great idea but between the camera and the app it almost never actually works. Sucks tbh

What about when you are outdoors without WiFi my friend? Can you connect dslr with android phone through hotspot? Is it possible to transfer files with this way?

I have a Canon EOS 650D, and that model does not have WiFi. Can I use the app in combination with, for example, a Toshiba flash air SD card? That card has WiFi in it. Or can I connect the camera with a cable to my iPad? Or does this app only work wireless?
