Mitt Romney Debunks Donald Trump's 'Successful Businessman' Con

Donald Trump and his followers claim that he’s a successful businessman, but the facts say otherwise. Despite receiving $413M from his dad, his businesses have filed for bankruptcy six times, hurting workers and small businesses.

The New York Times reported that for most of the last 20 years, Trump paid little in income taxes. In 2016 and 2017, he paid only $750, and 10 of the 15 years before 2020, he paid nothing. The figures reveal that his financial losses have far outweighed his income.

Despite the glaring evidence of his business failures, somehow he is still seen as a successful businessman — perhaps one of his greatest cons.

- His foundation was shut down because of fraud.
- He's currently under investigation for tax evasion and fraud for his Chicago plaza hotel.
- He got caught over valuating his properties to get favorable loans and under valued those same properties to pay less taxes. He was adjudicated to pay approximately $500 million in penalties to New York.
- He squandered away the $400 million he inherited from his father.
And you think this guy has the financial and economic savvy to build a strong economy?

Trump owed my friends company over 300k in the 1990s. Non payment resulted in my friend and his brother losing their company and their houses they mortgaged to fulfill the Trump order.
