what if after you do the cross multiplication the number without the varible doesnt go into the side with the varible in the videos case 9 what if u got a problem like y17=30 u cant divide 17 into 30??? PLEASE HELP

ohh thanks jimmy. a simple clarification and it did the trick. that it don't mater where the X is  you solve the same way  and that you  get the variable by itself its all i needed

what if one of the number is a fraction how do I solve that like for example Joseph Drive 125 miles in two and one and a half hours. at the same rate how far will he be able to travel in 6 hours
