It's notable that the swarmlord is the only tyranid that persists throughout every hive fleet, meaning that it's essentially the exact same swarmlord who is just fighting for a different fleet. I have done this comparison before, but it is like some basic antibody that all humans have, and stays the same throughout, even if other antibodies (ie warriors, gaunts, lichtors, etc) evolve and adapt from different peoples' experiences. This means that it may be the "perfect" tyranid, who isn't specialized in any role besides leading a swarm and fulfilling the role as the ultimate combat bioform. It's like the scene from Alien, when ash was talking about why he couldn't let the xenomorph be destroyed because it was such a pure and perfect creature. In other news, I think it would be cool to talk about the red terror or the Doom of Malan'tai!Unless you've already.
