We drove it across france to monaco and back as part of the bangers for ben banger rally last year
It wasnt all plain sailing though 😅😅

I live in the States and I can affirm Facebook marketplace is an amazing place to find a car. Due in part to the fact that everyone can sell everything. I bought an '08 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS 5 speed manual for $1, 200 because the previous owner saw the oil pressure light pop on and knew nothing about cars. The car sells here for about $5, 000 at a dealership. All I had to do was replace a $25 oil pressure sensor

Buying from Facebook Marketplace is the best because I can check people's profiles and see videos of them limiter bashing their "never abused" car around ASDA roundabouts! 🤣

Fb marketplace is wild. The scammers are off the charts. Can usually spot a mile off. Everything is like £83 or they will say my son will collect, what’s your email and I’ll send payment, email comes in saying it’s been paid and they will expect you to send the item based on that.

I had some (ex) friends pose as me to a seller, and they bought a 90 miata I was going to buy that day from under me... I learned about the existence of the Mk1 MR2 that night because of Facebook suggesting it as a "similar search", still upset about that Miata, but the MR2 became a dream car of mine instantly, and now I have one (with a blown motor...)

That 'pimp-mobile' is just awesome. It dosen't just whisper class it shouts out loud ''I've got class and good taste!'
I agree about the snowplough grill, maybe replace it with a gold plated, diamond encrusted radiator (like one from a house) and a tasteful massive rear spoiler. Class, sublety and moving perfection.

The limo was a car that was made and used for a car dealer charity event.

I bought a 1992 J VW Jetta MK2 GX Wolfsberg edition on marketplace one, went to buy it in Wrexham from East Anglia, paid 2k for it, bought it and drove it back in the pouring rain and it didn't miss a beat. Bonus the sunroof didn't leak.

I bought my 2007 Mazda3 with only 75k miles and in great nick for only £1k and other than the odd drop link//brake cable needing replacing from wear and tear/corrosion, it has served me so well. More options available too than Autotrader etc. Feel like Autotrader is slowly becoming the overpriced and non-1st choice for people now.

Finding a genuine add on marketplace is getting ridiculous. Example, Dorris who looks to be in her 70s has 12 4x4s, 4 mercs 10 BMWs, several motorhomes and boats for click on seller profile. I kind of given looking on there to be honest. Faceache don't appear to do any basic checks before allowing vehicles to be sold by any random. Very common to the same car being sold in all 4 corners of the UK. Where it used stand out a mile as a scam (far too cheap) now harder to filter out as they price them fairly normally in a lot of cases

Looking for a first car and saw a 2007 vw polo for £1500 ( rlly good in the NI) guy told me there was a brand new mot and only a few scrapes, when I got there the fella selling the car wasn’t even there it was one of his workers, he lied and the car failed mot and abaout a quarter of the car was painted with a brush, moral of the story, ALWAYS go see the car before you send any money
