Model lesson - Reach for the Stars C - Unit 5 - Quick, Little Quails!

As very young learners prepare to begin their primary school years, developing beginning literacy skills is vital to starting strong in their education.  The final year before Grade 1 is an important time to build phonics skills, recognition of high-frequency words, the start of conventions of text and other reading skills that are most appropriate to their age and stage of development.  Learners should also be refining their motor skills and the mechanical ability to write, again in a developmentally-appropriate way.  Join us for this model lesson for very young learner teachers from the Reach for the Stars program to learn about these things - and also to see Teacher Andrew's quails!
