Kindergarten Interactive Writing Lesson

In this video, we are revisiting the big book we read yesterday, to add more to our words by creating another sentence together. The students are chosen by using their words their way data and sight word knowledge.

Strengths
Did a lesson based on yesterday’s reading
Nice tone of voice
Used sight words
Had everyone participate in the counting of words in the sentence
Repeated herself multiple time to help the students understand
Had students write in words to keep them engaged
Asked the students to help with spelling and connected letters in the words to letters in their names

Weaknesses
Could have had students share more in partners so everyone got to share what they were thinking
I feel as she could have been a little more organized and not so cluttered
Makes me wonder why she signaled Logan out. I wonder if Logan had trouble on this before and she kind of called her out
Asking students to spell something she would point out the word in the classroom instead of spelling from memory
