Dave you should start doing follow ups on some of these people, like 1-5 years later would be nice to see how ur program changed their lives !

The pain and despair in his voice was heartbreaking. He gave no excuses either. I hope he’s doing better. My heart goes out to you, man.

I'm not trying to be sarcastic but to be brutally honest with my thoughts, did any one feel relieved listening to Dave Ramsey show to realised their situation isn't that bad as they initially thought as opposed to others? well, I do.

Makes my $17k student loan seem like a breeze when I hear these cases

I don't know why I teared up watching this video. For some reason, it touched my heart. I believe it was because I made errors at that age as well, and I thought I could never bounce back and recover them; but by the grace of God and the Holy Spirit leading me to the right connections, and ways to take practical steps to moving forward, I came out on the other side. I am praying for this young man.

Hey he owned up to his mistakes like a man, and he’s working and taking active steps to fix the student loans. That earns him some respect in my book.

I really liked how Dave encouraged this young man, he sounded depressed, but Dave gave him a brilliant idea for future career plans!

I would love to hear about what the heck he did to get kicked out the day before graduation.

It must have been pretty big.

Thank the caller for speaking up! People don't realize that this is a COMMON issue at military academies. Students get kicked out each year due to poor choices, bad grades, injuries, etc and they end up owing the gov money. Because they weren't technically in the military, they have zero veteran benefits. The military doesn't give these kids any support or help in their transition, they're just thrown out on the street. Many times, these aren't bad eggs, and they deserve help, military academies are very stressful. THey're kids under age 25 who just want to serve their country, they don't deserve these outcomes

Dave has this great ability to be gentle and kind to those who need it and firm and snappy with those who deserve it, based on attitude and not circumstance of the caller. Love it.

$300k for Russian studies? Could've gotten a one year work visa for Russia and learned the language much better whilst coming out debt free.
