Little Sally Field Found Trapped in Unincorporated Desert Country with Dislocated Leg

This sweet lady was found trapped in the desert foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, an unincorporated area of Southern California with elevations of more than 5,000 feet above sea level.

She was originally spotted by a local resident living alone in San Bernardino county who found this poor dog paralyzed in the middle of a field and dubbed her Sally Field.

Poor Sally Field is unable to move her front leg and has been attempting to drag herself across the field in search of help. Strangely, her leg isn't broken, it simply dangles from her body like a child's loose tooth.

We rushed little Sally Field to the emergency animal hospital for treatment and doctors were stumped by the cause of her injury. Vets are unsure whether Sally Field suffered an untreated injury or if she was born this way and never received any medical care.

Vets attempted to splint her leg for six weeks without any success--her foot is like a dead weight and must be amputated. Poor Sally Field is only about four months old and deserves a second chance at life.

Once her leg is amputated, Sally Field will be available for adoption into a loving forever home where she can thrive and live her best possible life.
