1) It might be that the person also want back the same importance from the other side, it can't be onesided whole the time.

If a person gives you importance (in a sense that they start talking to you in a friendly way ) and suddenly starts ghosting you doesn't always mean they're selfish. Maybe they misunderstood your intentions and why you were talking to them and upon knowing they just doesn't want to hurt your feelings or become a reason for why you'll be hurt in the future.
