Oh my god. The vocals are stunning, and the ‘Get Jinxed’ part that intertwined with ‘Wasteland’? Masterfully and creatively done. The composition was on spot, you and Gezeus absolutely nailed this. The title says ‘epic’, but this is ‘legendary’. I am so stoked and happy that you covered this. When ‘Wasteland’ first released, I perceived it as an extremely complex song to cover, because it requires the musician/artist to create a certain depth and richness that has to draw out emotion and tell the tale that regards what Jinx and others have went through and are still going through. The artist that covers this has to be a storyteller too, I requested this, because I know that you are, Raf. And you did tell the tale so very beautifully. This cover embodies the darker tone of hopelessness but highlights the hopefulness that eventually begins to shine through towards the end. Hopeless hopefulness. It touched me. The meaning. The fact that you covered this for me, which made my birthday all the more special and noteworthy - thank you, thank you so, so, much. I could write paragraphs just to describe how well you did, how well Gezeus did, but I will spare you the hassle of reading that. You’re an amazing singer, a great artist - the art was stunning, it showcased the exact moment where darkness bled into light, mournful sadness into determined hope -, an extremely kind and hard-working person and such a beautiful person and overall soul.
