Even the monkey bomb had sad eyes unlike the usual angry eyes, this show has so much details in every frame.

I think it's important to note that it doesn't MATTER if Jinx survived or not. It's left ambiguous for a reason. Throughout the entirety of the second season, Jinx points out that anyone who gets close to her dies. She meets Isha and she claims that she gets it now. Everything is clear. Or maybe blurry, she can't tell. She understands Vi, she understands Vander, she understands Mylo and Clagger and Silco. Everyone was always trying to protect her. And she finally understands that bond, that will to protect someone else no matter what. Understands that Vi never was going to leave her, understands that Silco was never going to give her to Piltover. She rushes in to save Isha without a second thought. And it's after that that she starts trying to make the right choices. She finds Vi, tries to help Vander. Protects the commune and it's residents. Then, just like that, with a twist of fate you can't anticipate, Isha sacrifices herself to save her new found family without a second thought. And Jinx tells Isha "You remind me of her." Powder. The sacrifice she wanted to make, the savior she had wanted to be at the same age.
She gives herself up, gives up entirely.
It's now that we realize just how long Jinx's hair is and it becomes clear that she hasn't cut it since that day back when they were kids. Jinx's long blue hair has been dragging behind her, braided into chains. She's never put down the weight or the guilt from anything she's done, carried it with her down her back for the entirety of the narrative. So when Vi goes to get her out of the cell, asking for help, she locks Vi up in her place. And then she says she's going to break the cycle. The cycle that everyone around her dies. You can see she cuts off her chains and plans on killing herself. If she dies, she can't hurt anyone else anymore.
Ekko goes to an alternate timeline and sees who Jinx could have become if Hextech hadn't turned her into what she became. She's alive, happy. There isn't any sign of her usual psychosis and her brilliance really shines here. She helps Ekko and Heimerdinger build the machine that sends him back.
He stops her from blowing herself to bits, again and instead she goes to find Vi.
In her last moments on screen, we see Jinx tell Vi not to be stupid, to get away. Vi can't abandon Vander, so Jinx throws herself into him, knocking him away and throwing themselves hurtling towards the ground. Jinx pulls the same monkey bomb she used in the episode she accidentally kills her adopted family with, killing Vander and supposedly herself. She breaks the cycle by bringing everything full circle.
Does she survive? Maybe. But Arcane is over with this conclusion and it's the perfect one for Jinx. It's her redemption.

Jinx survived for sure. This shimmer stream away from the explosion into a vent proves it when you play the scene in low speed. And caitlyn smirks while looking at the blueprints of the hexgates.

I think Vander actually did remember her at that last second, because the memory of him watching her fall asleep is from his perspective. I think he died while reminiscing about that one last happy moment.
And she obviously escaped, you can see the pink shimmer lights when she dashes.

Vi's screams are heartbreaking. Just when there was hope for her to reconcile with her sister, when they actually fought alongside one another, she lost her in perhaps the most painful way - through sacrifice. What Jinx did for Vi was the same Vi was trying to do for her when they were kids. To protect her. To save her. I know she could have survived and all, but Vi lost her either way. This is the last episode, so we won't get any confirmation as to whether these two will ever meet again. Not to mention flashback with Vander and the girls.... Vi lost almost everyone, aside from Cait.

Jinx's redemption has been so confusing and crazy and heartfelt, I can't get over how well written Jinx is compared to every other character

Remember this masterpiece. Something this beautiful with such an amazing story that is complimented so perfectly with its soundtrack doesn’t happen often. I only began watching this because the cover looked cool. The relationship between Vi and Powder/ Jinx was amazing and believable. When Vander came back I was genuinely hoping for him to comeback and be there for them. But this wasn’t about happy endings. It was about learning to live with the way things are even when they aren’t perfect. This show had me crying and hopeful. Well done to the creators

I don't tear up often anymore especially now but this scene in particular actually made me damn near sob and it's even more rare when it's a show or film Arcane is one of the most visually satisfying and beautifully done shows that I've seen in a long time amazing storytelling and phenomenal charecters this show was an absolute gift
