In our constant effort to help clients get out of pain faster, we are always looking for ways to increase the intensity of activation occurring in their brain during training and rehabilitation exercises. By stacking—combining inputs together—we’re able to take advantage of concepts in the neural plasticity field called spatial and temporal summation that help the brain change more easily.

In this video, Dr. Cobb will take you through a personal example of how he used the Z-Health methodology to address a bout of low back pain he experienced after a hard training session. Check out the thought process and see if you can apply it to your goals!

Video Highlights:
- Dr. Cobb’s personal process for helping his low back pain
- Brain and spinal cord considerations
- Tips on sensory stacking

Wow! Brilliant! I Just discovered your YouTubes… I’ve been a dance (ballet and acrobatics) coach for over 50 years. This is a gold mine for kinesiology nerds like me! ❤

Stacking of sensory input is a very good investigated treatment concept in the so called Injury Recall Technique by Becker/Brunck from Germany. Did you have an idea what might happen if you combine sensory input (vibration or proprioception) to the contralateral leg or arm with painfree motion of your pelvis/SI joint on the right side? the right PBFR might be involved in reducing the pain experience on the right body side. What do you think? Dr. A. Bergen, Germany, Applied Kinesiology and Orthopaedic surgeon

Question: Do you think I could get similar results using the combination of a massage tool and hot/warm damp cloth or a topical hot/cold cream? I’ve used my hypervolt with icy hot before and that seems to work a little magic.
