What is amblyopia (lazy eye)?

Amblyopia (also called lazy eye) happens when the brain ignores the vision from one eye. This usually happens if one eye is not lined up properly with the other, or if vision from one eye is much blurrier than the other.

I have lazy eye but they say im free from it that its almost fully strengthend

ive heard that having a lazy eye and not wearing glasses causes your other healthy eye to progressively weaken too as it puts stress on it coz its the only one responsible for providing clear vision and its power eventually develops/increases too, is that true? I cant find this answer anywhere.

I have lazy eyes since I was 13 years old. My dad made fun of my Eyes and it didn’t make me feel happy. 😢
