I love talking to the camera. No one interrupts me! 😁

I remember feeling so awkward talking to my camera when I first started on YouTube! It was especially weird that I wasn’t even talking to anyone behind the camera either because I didn’t have an audience yet! I think it gets easier as you grow your audience and form a connection with your viewers 😊❤️

When I started my first channel, I remember speaking so softly and being not so comfortable. But a few videos later, I was fine. Now this is my third channel, and I am trying to work on other advanced skills. Camera fear does go away with experience. There is nothing wrong with being a little uncomfortable at first. Thx Sunny.

Great tips! I've started playing upbeat music and dancing before doing a video now. It definitely changes the energy. I still have a lot to learn but I feel I've already come a long way since I started making videos!

Sunny! I tuned in to your weekly video, and literally spilled my morning coffee! Thanks so much for the shout out! What a surprise; you made my day. Thanks in advance to all of the #sunnysquad as well for the support! And yes, you are so right. Every single time I push 'record' and tell my story to the camera, it gets easier and better. At least it feels that way. We are all our own greatest critics, and I think that if I can actually appreciate watching my own video, others will too.

Thanks for the tips. Another super-helpful video. My new mantra: breathe, smile, pause before restarting.

I honestly needed this! This is why I don’t do many sit downs or film new intros! Thanks for the tips Sunny! 🧡 can you do a video on reaching out to companies for sponsors?

Regarding what my biggest takeaway is from this video, it is the notion of stopping between thoughts to look down at your notes instead of trying to say everything in long sections and also to help you keep your thoughts from straying (which I can do very easily as a dominant Introverted Intuitor personality type). THIS tip is really going to help me because I've noticed that I sometimes get stuck and lose my train of thought if I start talking too long. I LOVE this technique and I think it will really help me. Thank you!

This was another great video Sunny. I started focusing on building the YT presence at the end of last year and I've found your channel super helpful. Many thanks!

These are such great tips. I can still use these as I am not there in my videos on my channel. And yes, “this is not brain surgery”!! I love that saying to keep myself in check.

My cameraman used to intimidate me and I'd get flustered. He wanted me to get it perfect on the first try. I finally told him if he hired a Hollywood actor there would be multiple takes. We both relaxed a bit and now I feel like I'm doing a lot better. We went on a road trip to explore Nepal for our channel and I met a man who saw our videos. Such an awesome feeling. Thanks for your tips. You always give such good advice.

It's great to see these tips articulated out. I took a dive into my older videos and definitely notice how less confident I came across and how awkward it was. I'm sure I have a long way to go, but I'm definitely feeling more comfortable talking directly to the camera. Hopefully that's reflected in the videos. If not, I'm working on it!

This video was wonderful! I'm a vocalist, and the past semester during the quarantine I found myself taping MANY videos singing straight to the camera for school assignments and "virtual performances", this video was incredibly helpful to apply the same concepts to performing authentically while still focusing into the camera!

I learned to look at the lense while filming and give myself a 3 second break so editing can be more seamless. Thanks Sunny!

I used to be so uncomfortable on camera. I have watched some of the videos I made a couple of months ago and I feel uncomfortable just by watching it.

When you talked about practice makes perfect and using your hands, it does help. Once I learned to use my hands, smile, and laugh if it’s funny, that’s how I learned to relax.

Please make more videos like this. It’s great for beginners.

Thank you for the great tips. 🙏🏾😘
