Season 18 Changes - Everything You NEED to Know | Overwatch

We got some big Overwatch News! A recent Forum Post from Scott Mercer explained Season 18's Role Queue changes in more detail, and I figured I should let you guys know about it.

Starting now, Overwatch Comp in 2019 will be completely different! I'll be giving my best to explain all the nitty gritty details about how does ranking work and also go more in depth into the Season 18 Placements.

Yeah, my role queue ranks were weird... I'm a tank and support main so if im being honest I probably suck at DPS. I got ranked Plat in both Support and Tank, which was normal, but I got ranked high gold in dps when really I should've been silver.

You know mabey we wouldn't have to deal with these long que times if DPS mains would just learn tank and support. It's really satisfying as a support player to see DPS screwed themselves over after all the times solo healing 5 braindead dps and getting blamed every loss.

Honestly they should add an option that allows you to stablish if u want the matchmaker to find matches in a bigger SR cap or in the normal cap.

Hey dude wanted to ask you a question... first off I was a guy who was really good on tank but if they needed something else I’d flex to it (support mainly) even tho I wasn’t great on it... now that season 18 is around and I can only play tank I’ve got up from 2700 Sr -> to 3200 Sr do you think the average Sr increased or do you think I’ve finally been able to climb because I can play what I’m actually good at

Was the sr inflation adressed? I have seen a lot of players gain over 400sr on their main role in the role queue beta and it would be a shame if they would just randomly get a massive sr boost for S18

If there aren’t huge balance changes at the start of the season it’s a pass. Last thing we need is season 18 being double barriers and CC all over again. The entire goats roster needs to be revisited cause they’re extremely underwhelming and just don’t work in the current 2-2-2. For the love of Jeff Kaplan Winston needs buffs the most. Unusable below masters.

hey cliffy boy if you need a topic for a video you might wanna check out on blizzard shutting down the chilean and argentinian servers because of "reasons outside the company's control" (aka player numbers being too low for 2-2-2) and this resulting in half the continent having to play with 200 ping minimum and portuguese being the main language of the servers even though only one country speaks it
