The U300s and U310 are very, very similar. The U310 gets you third gen Intel CPUs and HD 4000 graphics-- that's the significant difference.

5-7 hours based on what your doing, I used it for taking notes in class and always kept the minimum brightness and the Lenovo power saving mode on. recently sold my u310 for a Lenovo y410p laptop, this things a beast.

i literally use it for everything, movies, rendering videos, homework it is one of my favorite things i own. biggest thing is you have to take care of it and it will run great. if you do buy it i would suggest you should de-bloatware it, while this isin't necessary i enjoy it because it boots in 15-20 seconds and im ready to take notes in class. also i do a ridiculous amount of multi tasking so i upgraded the ram to 8gb instead of the stock 4gb. The wifi is actually very fast lol and long range

I ordered the u310 today. I'm using it for highschool so it's okay for me if the hardware isn't really up for gaming. However, I saw/read some reviews of the u410 and they are often really negative about it. It seems like the DVD drive hast serious issues too, where the DVDs get stuck in the drive. But I can only recommend the u310 after it has finally arrived for me to test it. After seeing some reviews, i'm really positive about it being a good buy.

its medium long, it picks up Wi-Fi quite well, I have heard people had problems with it dropping but a driver update fixes that up easy

Are you sure about 80-90 Fahrenheit? Because 90F is about 32C, which sounds very very cold for a fan-cooled system, even a laptop. My laptop doesn't go below 40C even when idling.

Can you open the lid without the bottom lifting up? All the macbooks have the ability to do that.

It doesn't make it more expensive. Turbo is an intel function for processor's which allows them to "speed up" their cores/processor.

Are they really the same at the rear? Or is it just those new chunky UX31a stoppers? Can you show the power adapter for this? Do you know the weight of that adapter?
Thanks for the reviews.

Did you have any issues with the wi-fi? I need one for campus and need good wifi, but all Ive read is constant issues with the wifi range.

Heard that the 1.7 Ghz can be boosted to 2.6 GHz via turbo ?! what does that mean and does it make the ultrabook more expensive ?
