I certainly try my best but sometimes it just takes a while to reply.

Glad to hear that this video was helpful for you.

Thank you for watching.

I did not feel like the fan was too loud, even while playing video the machine was rather quiet.

Great and complete review SB. I think that this is a great device, if you can cope with Windows (especially W8). Unfortunatelly, although I'm moving away from Apple on mobile, I can't say I can do the same on computers. I am hooked on OSX. But for a person who is invested in Windows, this seems like a great choice, especially given the price.
About the keyboard, this seems to be the only drawback, and I've heard that from others that had the Lenovo. I guess it's a matter of taste.
Nice job!

Hey, first I want to thank you for the great review. :)

And now I want to ask a question: is the fan loud? I mean at surfing or working with Word etc.

I'm very interested in the U310, but I only want a Laptop, which is quiet, at least at surfing.

Thx

PS: Hätte ich jetzt auch auf deutsch fragen können, aber so haben auch andere vielleicht was von. =)

Hi TechCentury, Is there any problem affects the U310 ultrabook monitor and does it reduce of the battery life in case of connecting it to an external monitor or projector via adapter? Thanks in advance

There is a big thread on TonyMac, including a guide with included required kexts download to get it all running, including QE/CI so i presume some models at least must have intel graphics on board.

Thanks Markos!

I feel like it is quite a shame that Lenovo does not stick to his great reputation when it comes to the thinkpad keyboards, not sure whats going on there.

This exact model does not but the newer U310 touch series has one.

Is it true that the fan and wifi are bad?

This certainly looks good, very much in the Macbook style forgetting the lid. But, by far the most amazing aspect - a quick google suggests it will Hackintosh - the look and running 10.8 for a fraction of the price - what more could you want?

Hey,
I want to ask which ultrabook would you recommend me to get, Lenovo u310 or HP Envy 4? I need laptop for studies, mainly for CAD drawing and 3D modelling. I don't know will one of these ultrabooks be enough? I mean they have weak processor just 2x 1.7ghz.

Is there still a wifi problem with this laptop? I heard that it was bad at receiving wifi signal further than a 5 meter radius, which can be rather problematic. I really like this laptop, seems like the perfect student budget ultrabook but reading reviews online have made me scared lol :(

And how would you compare this to the ASUS S3?

Much appreciated thank you!

hi, is it normal that in Belgium or in France the U310 costs 550€? Has onyone found it for the same prize in France or Belgium as in Germany?

It costs 600 bugs now! Why they do that? I can't seem to find any nice looking ultrabooks under 500€ anymore. Everything got expensive

Can you review the Lenovo IdeaPad Y500?

Wow I had no idea, thanks for pointing out that you can turn this into a hackintosh!

I am very sorry but I have not tried using an external monitor on it.

Best student notebook, if your looking for something not pricey.
I love this laptop, have used it for almost one year, I got the i5 version, and have upgraded with a SSD and 4GB more ram and I love it, the battery is running for like 4-6 hours, using word for writing in school and doing a little facebook, so it last the whole school day, and that is perfect.
